Pakistan Announces Free SIM Cards and Internet Data Packages for Hajj Pilgrims

Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has announced free SIM cards and internet data packages for Hajj pilgrims as part of enhanced facilitation measures for Hajj 2026.
According to official details, the initiative aims to improve communication facilities for pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia. Each pilgrim will be provided with a free local SIM card for use abroad.
Under the long-stay package (40 days), pilgrims will receive 600 local and international minutes along with 40GB of free internet data. Those opting for the short-stay package will be provided 300 minutes and 25GB of data.
In addition to digital connectivity support, the government has also introduced a “one-day Hajj processing system” across the country. The system will allow pilgrims to complete training, vaccination, visa processing, and travel documentation in a single day under one roof.
Officials said the new system is designed to make the Hajj process faster, more efficient, and cost-effective. It is expected that more than 119,000 pilgrims will benefit from the improved facilitation measures.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance services and ease logistical challenges for Pakistani pilgrims performing Hajj.
