Field Marshal Asim Munir Arrives in Tehran for Key Talks on US-Iran Ceasefire

Tehran/Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Tehran along with a high-level delegation to advance diplomatic efforts related to a potential ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
According to reports from regional media, including Al Jazeera, the Pakistani delegation landed in the Iranian capital earlier today. During the visit, Field Marshal Munir is expected to hold meetings with senior Iranian leadership to discuss preparations for the second round of ceasefire negotiations.
Sources indicate that Pakistan is playing a facilitating role in easing tensions between Washington and Tehran. The upcoming round of talks between the United States and Iran is likely to take place next week in Islamabad, following initial diplomatic engagements.
Iranian state media also reported that discussions during the Tehran visit will focus on setting the stage for the next phase of negotiations, which are expected to be critical in shaping the prospects of a ceasefire agreement between the two sides.
