US Diplomat Meets Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad, Discusses Regional Security and Iran Talks

Islamabad: The Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy held a meeting with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by JUI, the meeting covered a range of important issues including the global situation and the law and order scenario in the region. Both sides also exchanged views on the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran.

The statement further said that various aspects of proposed legislation were also discussed during the meeting.

Several senior JUI leaders were present on the occasion, including Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Kamran Murtaza, Aslam Ghauri, Maulana Asad Mahmood, and Maulana Asjad Mahmood.
