New Trauma Center Quetta to Be Made Operational Soon, Says Health Minister Bakh Muhammad Kakar

Quetta (News Desk) — A high-level progress review meeting regarding the New Trauma Center Quetta was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar.
The meeting reviewed in detail the operational readiness of the trauma center, administrative arrangements, availability of modern medical equipment, and overall service delivery mechanisms.
The session was attended by senior officials including Health Secretary Mujib-ur-Rehman, former Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan, Director General Health Ameen Mandokhail, Additional Health Secretary Saqib Kakar, CEO Trauma Center Arbab Kamran, and Provincial Coordinator of the Balochistan Health Management and Information System Ababkar Baloch, along with other senior doctors and relevant authorities.
Director Operations of the New Trauma Center, Dr. Sher Afghan Raisani, briefed the participants on ongoing efforts to fully operationalize the facility and highlighted various aspects related to the launch of services.
Addressing the meeting, Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar directed officials to expedite all administrative and clinical preparations so that the trauma center can be made operational at the earliest. He emphasized that timely access to quality healthcare services is a key priority of the provincial government.
He further stated that activating the New Trauma Center on modern lines is part of the government’s broader vision to improve healthcare delivery in Balochistan.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to make the facility fully functional soon to serve the public effectively.
