Pakistan Hails Iran–U.S. Talks, Reaffirms Role as Facilitator

Islamabad:** Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has thanked both the United States and Iranian delegations for participating in the recent diplomatic engagement aimed at reducing tensions between the two countries.
Addressing a press briefing in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that both sides responded positively to the initiative taken on the request of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He noted that the U.S. delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, visited Pakistan for the negotiations, while the Iranian delegation was led by Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

He expressed hope that both countries would continue dialogue in the future and emphasized that Pakistan would keep playing its facilitation role in the negotiation process between the two sides.
The foreign minister said Pakistan expects both Iran and the United States to move forward with a positive mindset for sustainable peace and prosperity in the region and the wider world.
