Crackdown Ordered on LPG Overpricing in Quetta

Quetta:** Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehruallah Badini, has taken strong notice of public complaints regarding the rising prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Quetta and surrounding areas, directing immediate action against violators.

Following his instructions, Tehsildar Sub-Division (City) Humayun Kakar conducted an emergency visit to several LPG plants in the city to review gas prices and stock availability.

During the inspection, the Tehsildar warned plant owners against charging rates higher than the officially fixed prices, stating that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in overpricing.

He further cautioned that no leniency would be shown to individuals or businesses creating artificial shortages to sell gas at inflated rates.

The Tehsildar emphasized that providing relief to the public remains the top priority of the district administration. He added that negligence or misconduct in this regard will not be tolerated, and monitoring of LPG prices will continue to ensure compliance with official rates.
