JUI-F Delegation Meets Balochistan CM for Talks on Security and Political Situation

Quetta:On Friday, a delegation led by Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, the central secretary-general of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), met with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sardar Farrukh Bugti. The meeting was attended by several prominent political leaders, including Maulana Abdul Wasay, Amir of JUI-F Balochistan and Senator, and the Leader of Opposition in the Balochistan Assembly, Yunus Aziz Zehri, among other provincial leaders.
During the meeting, discussions centered on the prevailing security situation and overall political landscape in the province, as well as the ongoing sit-in by the Balochistan National Party. The JUI-F delegation offered to play a mediatory role to help resolve the current political standoff.
In response, Chief Minister Bugti informed the delegation about the government’s stance, emphasizing that the responsibility for restoring peace in Balochistan lies with both the government and the opposition. He further acknowledged that JUI-F has always played a responsible and constructive role, whether in government or opposition.
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving all political issues through dialogue and political consultation, reinforcing the importance of a collaborative approach to the challenges facing the province.
This meeting highlights a willingness from both sides to engage in dialogue, which could play a crucial role in stabilizing the province’s political and security situation.
