Mother of Slain TikToker Sana Yousaf Breaks Down, Says She Attempted Suicide While Awaiting Justice

Islamabad: The grieving mother of 17-year-old influencer Sana Yousaf has revealed that she attempted suicide multiple times as her family continues to await justice nearly a year after her daughter’s murder.
Sana Yousaf was shot dead inside her home in June 2025, an incident that sparked nationwide outrage. Despite the passage of almost a year, the family says justice has yet to be served.
Speaking to the media, her mother expressed deep emotional distress, saying she has been living in constant pain since her daughter’s death. “I die every day and live again. I tried to take my own life several times, but then I remind myself that I must live to get justice for my daughter,” she said.
She added that seeking justice is not only for her daughter but also for the safety of other girls, so they can feel protected and believe that wrongdoing will be punished.
The mother described Sana as her only child and a brave young girl. She said her daughter’s only “fault” was rejecting the accused, which allegedly led to her murder in front of her.
While she acknowledged that the courts have treated her with respect, she noted that delays have occurred due to legal proceedings, including a petition filed by the accused in the High Court.
The family continues to demand swift justice and strict punishment for the perpetrator, hoping the case will set a precedent and deter similar crimes in the future.
