Former Punjab Governor Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa Passes Away at 90

Dera Ghazi Khan (Daily Qudrat): Former Governor of Punjab Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa has passed away in Lahore at the age of 90, according to family sources.

His family stated that Khosa had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lahore for some time prior to his death.

Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa began his political career in 1962 when he was first elected as a member of the Punjab Assembly. Over the decades, he remained a prominent figure in Pakistani politics, spending most of his career with the Pakistan Muslim League.

He held several key positions, including provincial minister, advisor, senator, and Governor of Punjab. During the period of Nawaz Sharif’s exile, Khosa also served as the President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Punjab.

Ahead of the 2018 general elections, he joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, marking a significant shift in his long political journey.
