Islamabad: Pakistani model and actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak is once again in the news for her controversial remarks, this time criticizing Pakistanis living abroad.
During a recent program, she shared her personal experience of moving to Canada. When asked why many overseas Pakistanis often express nostalgia for their homeland, she responded sharply, calling such behavior hypocritical.
Saheefa argued that while people enjoy the laws and lifestyle of their adopted countries, they still claim to miss Pakistan, which she sees as contradictory. She added that those living abroad should accept this reality and avoid unnecessary complaints.
She further stated that some individuals are actually reminiscing about their old routines, conveniences, and domestic systems, which they mistakenly label as “missing their homeland.”
Her remarks have sparked a heated debate on social media, with some agreeing with her viewpoint, while others consider her comments harsh and unnecessary.
