According to White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, the delegation will include JD Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner. The first round of negotiations is expected to take place in Islamabad on Saturday morning.

Leavitt stated that Iran has agreed to the ceasefire and has also shown willingness to reopen routes through the Strait of Hormuz. However, she emphasized that President Trump’s “red lines” remain unchanged.

She further clarified that Lebanon is not part of the current ceasefire arrangement, while discussions are ongoing with Benjamin Netanyahu and other stakeholders regarding broader regional stability.
