National Party Vows No Compromise on Balochistan’s Resources, Expresses Concern Over Non-Transparent Mining Policies

Quetta: Under the leadership of Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, the National Party’s Mining Committee held a key meeting at the party’s central secretariat, attended by committee members and legal experts.

The meeting reviewed the Balochistan Mines and Minerals Act 2025 and proposed amendments, with deep concern expressed over non-transparent policies and unequal agreements that prevent the people of Balochistan from benefiting fully from their resources.

Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch emphasized that the National Party will not compromise on the people’s right to control their resources, national sovereignty, or constitutional supremacy. He firmly stated that policies depriving the local population of their legitimate rights in the mining sector will not be tolerated.

He stressed that future legislation must ensure Balochistan’s control over its resources and the active participation of local communities. The party will finalize its recommendations and present them to the relevant authorities to ensure the creation of a fair and people-centric amendment bill that prioritizes the benefit of Balochistan’s resources for its own citizens.

The meeting was attended by Mir Kabir Ahmed Mohi Shaheen, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai, Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Ali Ahmed Lango, and other party leaders. The Mining Committee’s second meeting is scheduled for April 8.
