Opposition Leader Achakzai Blames Political Failures on Leaders, Calls for ‘National Government’

Islamabad: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai delivered a significant speech, acknowledging that the failure of Pakistan’s political system stems largely from the shortcomings of political leaders themselves.
Addressing the assembly, Achakzai emphasized that the time has come for all political forces to agree on minimum democratic principles and move towards forming a “national government” to effectively address public issues.
He also raised concerns over the continued imprisonment of PTI’s founding leader Imran Khan, stating that both previous and current governments had attempted to break his resolve but failed. Achakzai urged parliamentarians to ensure their attendance during sessions and actively participate in meaningful debate.
Commenting on the global situation, Achakzai strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of risking global peace for personal interests and warning that such actions could push the world toward conflict.
He expressed serious concern over rising global tensions, calling them a major threat to international peace and stability.
