KP Launches Monthly Rs2,000 Fuel Subsidy for Motorcyclists, Apply from Home via Dastak App

Peshawar – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the registration process for a monthly Rs2,000 fuel subsidy for motorcyclists, allowing eligible citizens to apply from home.

The initiative, part of the “Ehsaas Fuel Support Program,” was started on April 6 under the directives of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohaib Afridi. It aims to ease the financial burden on daily commuters and small transport operators amid rising inflation and petroleum prices.

Under the program, eligible individuals who own motorcycles, scooters, or rickshaws will receive a monthly fuel subsidy of Rs2,000. To simplify the registration process, the government has introduced the Dastak App, which allows citizens to apply digitally from their homes.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information, Shafi Jan, said the subsidy will be disbursed directly through digital wallets to ensure transparency and accountability. He emphasized that the program is designed to provide direct relief to low-income commuters who rely on daily travel.

Shafi Jan further noted that the provincial government is committed to launching additional welfare initiatives to support citizens and mitigate the impact of inflation and rising fuel costs.
