Action Launched Against Extortion at Police Check Posts in Balochistan; Two Officers Suspended

Quetta: On the directives of Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, authorities have launched a crackdown to eliminate extortion at police check posts across Balochistan.
According to an official statement, two police personnel in Khuzdar were suspended following complaints of extortion at a checkpoint.
The SSP Khuzdar ordered the suspension of the two officials and initiated an inquiry into the incident, emphasizing zero tolerance for misuse of authority.
Babar Yousafzai, Adviser to the Home Department, stated that strict implementation of the Chief Minister’s directives would be ensured, adding that efforts are underway to improve transparency and accountability within the police system.
Officials reaffirmed that indiscriminate action will be taken against those involved in extortion to provide relief to the public.
