PPP Leader Pays Tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Vows to Continue His Mission

Quetta:** Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Mir Ali Hassan Zehri paid tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on his death anniversary, describing him as a visionary leader who transformed Pakistan’s political landscape.

In a statement, Zehri said Bhutto empowered the people with political awareness, self-respect, and democratic rights. He credited him with giving Pakistan a unanimous constitution, laying the foundation of the nuclear program, and elevating the country’s global standing.

He highlighted Bhutto’s role in strengthening unity among Muslim nations, particularly through the 1974 Islamic Summit in Lahore, where leaders of the Muslim world gathered on one platform.

Zehri further stated that Bhutto championed the rights of developing nations and established an independent foreign policy, enabling Pakistan to play an active role in global diplomacy. He added that Bhutto’s pro-people policies gave a strong voice to workers, farmers, and the underprivileged.

Paying tribute to Benazir Bhutto, he called her a courageous leader who fought bravely for democracy and made the ultimate sacrifice in the struggle against dictatorship.

He also praised Asif Ali Zardari for steering the party through difficult times and strengthening democratic institutions, while expressing confidence in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stating that under his leadership the party is growing stronger and is ready to face national challenges.

Zehri reaffirmed that the mission of Bhutto and Benazir remains alive and that the PPP will continue its struggle for democracy, justice, and public welfare. He urged party workers to remain united and committed to serving the underprivileged, adding that efforts will continue to transform Hub into a modern and model district.
