6.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Islamabad, Peshawar, and Other Cities

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Tremors from a 6.1-magnitude earthquake were felt across Islamabad, Peshawar, and several other cities in Pakistan.
The earthquake affected areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Skardu, Diamer, Rawalpindi, Murree, Taxila, and Hasan Abdal. Other regions, such as Lower Dir, Kohat, Swat, Sawabi, Shabqadar, and Parachinar, also experienced the tremors.
According to the seismological center, the earthquake struck at a depth of 190 kilometers, with its epicenter located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Residents reportedly rushed out of their homes chanting religious phrases as a precautionary measure during the shaking. No immediate reports of casualties or major damage have yet been confirmed.
