Train Fares Increased Again as Diesel Prices Surge in Pakistan

Lahore: In response to a recent hike in diesel prices, Pakistan Railways has announced a 2% increase in passenger train fares. The fare hike comes after diesel prices rose by Rs. 11.37 per litre, placing a daily financial burden of Rs. 3.986 million on the national rail service, totaling nearly Rs. 1.195 billion monthly.
