Actress Zubab Rana Denies Rumors Linking Her with Babar Azam
Lahore: Pakistani actress Zubab Rana has dismissed rumors about her alleged relationship with former Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam, clarifying that the claims circulating on social media are baseless.
Speaking during a Ramadan transmission hosted by Javeria Saud, Zubab Rana addressed a viral video featuring her and Babar Azam, which had sparked speculation online. She stated that there was “nothing of that sort” between them and termed the rumors as unfounded.
Rana added that when she first saw the video, she found the reactions on social media amusing and could not understand why it was being highlighted in such a way.
The video, which went viral last year, showed a brief interaction between the two, with some social media users interpreting Babar Azam’s expressions and gestures as unusual. While some advised the cricketer to control his emotions, others jokingly described his behavior as flirtatious, even humorously suggesting he wanted to become Rana’s hairstylist.
The actress’s clarification has now put to rest the speculation surrounding the viral clip.
