Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail Expected Across Pakistan Until April 4

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds across most parts of the country from today until April 4.

According to officials, Karachi is also expected to receive rainfall from tonight through April 3, with some areas likely to record 50 mm or more precipitation.

Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed Lahore, where Nishtar Town recorded the highest rainfall of 50 mm. Other areas, including Gulberg, Jail Road, Gajumata, and Raiwind, also experienced intense showers accompanied by hailstorms. While the weather turned pleasant, the severe conditions disrupted the electricity system.

Over 170 feeders tripped in the LESCO region, causing widespread power outages. In Kot Radha Kishan, two children lost their lives and five others were injured after walls collapsed due to the storm.

In Balochistan, including districts such as Ziarat, Dukki, Harnai, Qila Saifullah, and Loralai, heavy rain and hailstorms led to flooding in streams and nullahs.

Additionally, in Neelum Valley, a landslide blocked the Neelum Highway at the Kail Seri point, disrupting traffic in the region.
