War Advocates Responsible for Bloodshed, We Must Protect Our Homeland: Asghar Khan Achakzai

Chaman (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – Asghar Khan Achakzai, Provincial President of the Awami National Party (ANP), has said that rising tensions in the region are pushing humanity toward destruction, urging political workers to unite and safeguard their homeland through organized democratic struggle.
Addressing a district executive meeting in Chaman, Achakzai stated that “war-driven forces” are responsible for widespread bloodshed and emphasized the need for political awareness and unity to counter such threats. He added that the determination and consistency of political workers reflect the strength of their cause.
The ANP leader also criticized what he termed a “Form 47 imposed government,” accusing it of being fearful of political awareness and democratic movements. He said that filing “false and baseless cases” against party workers and leaders would not weaken their resolve.
The meeting strongly condemned the alleged registration of cases against ANP leadership and activists, calling them politically motivated. Participants stated that such tactics have historically failed and will continue to fail in suppressing democratic voices.
Achakzai further accused the Chaman administration of discriminatory behavior, likening it to “stepmotherly treatment” toward local residents. He expressed concern over actions such as placing tribal figures under the Fourth Schedule, issuing eviction notices, and sealing properties, terming these measures as harassment and blackmail.
The party urged authorities to focus on ensuring public safety and maintaining peace rather than using coercive tactics. The meeting concluded with a decision to launch organizational visits across all tehsils in Chaman, followed by a district-level workers’ convention in the near future
