Heavy Rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Claims 17 Lives, Leaves 56 Injured

Peshawar (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – Severe rainfall that began on March 25 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has caused significant human and material losses across multiple districts. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), several incidents of house roof and wall collapses were reported during the downpours.

PDMA statistics indicate that a total of 17 people lost their lives and 56 others sustained injuries due to various accidents triggered by the heavy rains. At least 11 houses also suffered partial damage.

The affected districts include Bannu, Abbottabad, Kohat, Upper Dir, Bajaur, Battagram, and North Waziristan. The PDMA has instructed district administrations in these areas to provide immediate relief and aid to the victims.

The authority further warned that the rainfall is expected to continue intermittently until Tuesday and advised residents to take necessary precautions
