Fakhar Zaman Faces Possible Ban for PSL Code of Conduct Violation

Islamabad: Fakhar Zaman may face a suspension following an alleged breach of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct.

The incident occurred during Lahore Qalandars’ match against Karachi Kings, where Fakhar Zaman is accused of tampering with the ball. He faces a Level Three charge under the PSL disciplinary code.

Fakhar Zaman denied the allegations during the initial hearing. Match referee Roshan Mahnama is scheduled to deliver a final decision after a follow-up hearing.

Sources indicate that Fakhar Zaman could be banned for three or more matches. The controversy arose before the start of the 20th over, when the umpire noticed suspicious activity, replaced the ball, and awarded five penalty runs to Karachi Kings.
