Oil Tanker MT Khairpur Arrives at Port Qasim with 55,000 Metric Tons of Crude Oil

Islamabad: A major oil shipment has reached Port Qasim as the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation tanker MT Khairpur arrived carrying 55,000 metric tons of crude oil.

According to media reports, the vessel departed from Sohar Port and successfully berthed at the FOTCO terminal upon arrival. The journey was made possible after Iran granted special permission for Pakistani ships to transit through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, two other vessels, MT Multan and MT P-Lake, which had been stranded in the الخليج region for nearly a month, have also resumed their journey and are expected to reach Pakistan by March 31, carrying millions of liters of crude oil.

The development is seen as a positive step in ensuring stable energy supplies for Pakistan amid ongoing regional tensions affecting global shipping routes.
