Balochistan Imposes Section 144 in 10 Districts Amid Security Concerns

Quetta: The government of Balochistan has imposed Section 144 in 10 sensitive districts following a deterioration in law and order and recent killings, officials said.

According to the provincial Home Department, the move aims to maintain overall security and prevent further incidents of violence. Under the restrictions, public display of weapons has been completely banned, while all public gatherings and rallies will require special permission.

Authorities stated that the decision comes in response to recent incidents of terrorism and the loss of innocent lives, with the objective of curbing the activities of disruptive elements.

Security forces across the province have been placed on high alert, and strict legal action has been warned against anyone violating the imposed restrictions. Citizens have been urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any suspicious activity immediately.

The administration emphasized that these measures are temporary and have been introduced to ensure the protection of lives and property, adding that the situation will be reviewed once conditions improve.
