Afghan Foreign Minister Urges Dialogue with Pakistan to Resolve Issues

Kabul: Amir Khan Muttaqi has emphasized that all issues with Pakistan should be resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Afghanistan, Muttaqi held a telephone conversation with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The discussion also covered matters related to United States-Afghanistan relations, regional security, and recent developments. Muttaqi appreciated the UAE’s role in facilitating the release of an American prisoner and reiterated his commitment to resolving outstanding issues through diplomatic channels.
Expressing concern over the situation involving Iran, the Afghan foreign minister warned that any war could pose serious threats to regional peace. He also praised the UAE’s patience and prudence in handling regional tensions.
Muttaqi further stated that Afghanistan will not allow its territory to be used against Pakistan and noted that practical steps have already been taken in this regard.
