Man Arrested for Harassing Women in Lahore Market After Viral Video

Lahore: Police in Lahore have arrested a man accused of harassing women in a busy market after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

According to police officials, the incident occurred at a market on PIA Road, where several women had come for shopping. The suspect allegedly harassed and misbehaved with them before fleeing the scene.

The Punjab Police traced the suspect using CCTV footage and arrested him from the Karim Park area. SP Saddar Rana Hussain Tahir confirmed that the accused, identified as Ali Waqar, has been taken into custody.

Police stated that a case has been registered against the suspect, and he has been shifted to lock-up. Authorities emphasized that individuals involved in harassment and exploitation of women will not be given any leniency.

The viral video reportedly shows the suspect harassing women and escaping immediately afterward, sparking public outrage and calls for strict action.
