PSL Launches “1 Run, 1 Tree” Campaign to Promote Environmental Conservation
Islamabad: In a significant environmental initiative, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has launched a campaign to plant a tree for every run scored during matches. The campaign was highlighted during the fourth PSL match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans.
During the toss, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan presented a special environmental banner to Multan Sultans captain Ashton Turner. The banner carried the message: “PLANT TREES, SAVE THE PLANET #1RUN1TREE”, symbolizing the league’s commitment to promoting sustainability.
Under this initiative, every run scored in the match will contribute to tree plantation, combining the excitement of cricket with environmental responsibility. PSL officials stated that the campaign aims to raise awareness about climate change and encourage fans to support eco-friendly practices across Pakistan.
