British-Pakistani Biker Gul Afshan Tareq Rides from London to Lahore, Makes History

Islamabad: British-Pakistani biker Gul Afshan Tareq has made history by successfully completing a remarkable motorcycle journey from London to Lahore, becoming the first woman to achieve this feat.

Gul Afshan, who lives in Manchester with her husband and three-year-old daughter, said before starting her journey that the mission aimed to raise awareness about women’s rights in Pakistan. She emphasized that the journey was meant to send a strong message—that women can achieve anything if they are determined.

Before her departure, bikers from around the world gathered at a biker café in London to encourage her and offer valuable advice for the long and challenging journey.

Her achievement is being widely celebrated as a symbol of courage, resilience, and empowerment for women everywhere.
