Pakistan Emerges as Key Diplomatic Player Amid Iran-Israel Tensions, Says Information Minister

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has claimed that Pakistan is playing a “crucial and effective” diplomatic role in the wake of escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, positioning itself as an influential voice on the global stage.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Tarar stated that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are being widely recognized internationally, adding that neighboring India is “concerned” over Islamabad’s growing diplomatic success.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan has demonstrated strong professionalism and strategic clarity on the diplomatic front.
Referring to a recent international meeting in Geneva, the minister said Pakistan’s stance received significant attention and appreciation, highlighting the country’s commitment to regional peace and stability.
Tarar also issued a stern warning to individuals and groups allegedly involved in anti-state propaganda abroad and their local facilitators. He said while political opposition is a democratic right, undermining the state’s dignity and reputation would not be tolerated.
“ No political party or leader is above the country,” he asserted, adding that hostile narratives aimed at weakening Pakistan would fail. He reiterated that national unity remains essential to counter challenges and sustain progress.
The minister concluded by stating that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic achievements have elevated its global standing and reinforced its image as a responsible and proactive player in international affairs.
