Speaker Scolds Provincial Spokesperson During Sindh Assembly Session

Karachi: During a recent **Sindh Assembly session**, Speaker **Owais Qadir Shah** reprimanded the provincial government’s spokesperson for her conduct in the house.

The incident occurred when **MQM female lawmaker Quratul Ain** commented that **Samita Afzal** serves as the provincial government spokesperson. Quratul Ain said that Samita Afzal is accountable and was addressing questions in the assembly.

In response, Samita Afzal clarified that she is not a minister but only a spokesperson. The Speaker then scolded her, asking, **“On whose authority are you standing?”** and instructed her to sit down.
