Alima Khan Challenges Authorities to Negotiate with Imran Khan Amid Detention Concerns

Rawalpindi: Alima Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has urged authorities to directly negotiate with her brother, emphasizing that no talks are currently taking place.
Speaking to the media at the Gorakhpur checkpoint, Alima Khan criticized the ongoing isolation of Imran Khan, stating he has been held in solitary confinement for nearly three years. She accused officials of deliberately creating conditions to pressure him into agreeing to a “deal” or negotiations, which he refuses, saying he remains committed solely to Pakistan and has left the matter in God’s hands.
Alima Khan also highlighted that even during Eid, the family was not permitted to meet him, calling the denial of visitation a violation of constitutional and human rights. She expressed frustration over a lack of transparency regarding Imran Khan’s medical treatment, noting that the family only learns about procedures through social media and media reports.
Additionally, journalist Noreen Niazi criticized the authorities, stating that Imran Khan is imprisoned unjustly, while others involved in corruption and asset concealment abroad have not faced accountability. She warned that the PTI leadership would hold responsible those responsible for his continued detention.
