Anti-Drone Systems Under Consideration for Sensitive Sites in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Authorities in Rawalpindi are considering the installation of advanced anti-drone systems at sensitive locations and key government buildings to further strengthen security.

According to reports, a high-level meeting of the Regional Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of RPO Khalid Hamdani. The meeting reviewed security arrangements for Chinese projects, important installations, and government facilities, and proposed the deployment of modern anti-drone systems and counter-drone guns.

The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Malik Tariq, SSP Investigation Nasir Ali, and other officials. It was decided to further tighten security around residences, workplaces, and travel routes of Chinese experts.

RPO Khalid Hamdani directed the Special Branch to conduct a comprehensive and indiscriminate audit of all housing societies, their staff, and private security guards. Verification of security personnel has been made mandatory to prevent any untoward incidents.

Participants emphasized that identifying security threats and sharing intelligence is a collective responsibility. The Special Branch has also been tasked with conducting a detailed survey to minimize potential risks and ensure foolproof security arrangements.
