Trump Claims Iran’s Military Capabilities “Neutralized,” Calls It a Paper Tiger

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that Iran’s military capabilities have been effectively destroyed, leaving the country as “a paper tiger.”

Speaking to the media after a key advisory meeting at the White House, Trump said that over 7,000 targets in Iran have been struck as part of a powerful military campaign aimed at reducing Tehran’s threats. He claimed more than 100 Iranian naval vessels were sunk, Iranian ships and aircraft destroyed, and attacks from Iran reduced by 90%.

Trump called for countries reliant on the Strait of Hormuz for oil—including China, Japan, and others—to step forward, emphasizing that only 1% of U.S. oil passes through the waterway. He added that Iranian mine-laying vessels in the strait have been sunk and most strikes targeted military installations.

The President also claimed that 85% of Iran’s drone production and 90% of its missile-making capability have been destroyed. While oil infrastructure remains untouched, he said all options remain open. Trump concluded that Iran’s naval and air defenses are completely destroyed, leaving the country with “nothing but words.”
