Balochistan CM Orders Probe Into Tree Cutting at Agricultural College, Principal Suspended

Quetta: Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, has expressed strong displeasure over the cutting of trees within the premises of an agricultural college after videos and images of the incident went viral on social media.

Taking strict notice of the matter, the chief minister ordered an immediate investigation, stating that illegal tree cutting is against environmental protection principles and government policies and will not be tolerated.

Following the directives of the chief minister, the principal of the concerned agricultural college has been suspended to ensure a transparent and impartial inquiry into the incident.

Authorities have been instructed to conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine responsibility. The chief minister emphasized that if negligence, mismanagement, or violation of rules is found at any level, strict legal action will be taken against those involved.

He further stated that the provincial government attaches great importance to environmental protection, tree plantation, and the safeguarding of public property. He reaffirmed that environment-friendly policies will be strictly implemented across the province.
