Quetta: The Balochistan High Court has dismissed the Chairman of the Balochistan Development Authority (BDA), Javed Ahmed Khan, and ordered him to vacate his office within 24 hours along with the return of all official privileges.
According to details, the case was heard by a divisional bench comprising Chief Justice Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhail and Justice Najamuddin Mengal. The court reviewed legal arguments related to the appointment and authority of the BDA chairman during the proceedings.
In its verdict, the court declared the appointment of Javed Ahmed Khan as chairman null and void and directed him to immediately relinquish his position. The court also instructed the relevant authorities to ensure immediate implementation of the decision.
The court order further stated that the dismissed chairman must return all official facilities, including the government vehicle, residence, and other privileges. It warned that failure to comply within the stipulated time could lead to further legal action.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer argued that the appointment of the BDA chairman was not made in accordance with rules and regulations, while the government lawyer presented the official stance before the court.
