Prime Minister Announces No Increase in Petroleum Prices Despite Global Oil Price Surge

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the government will not raise petroleum product prices despite the recent surge in global oil prices.
In his statement, the Prime Minister said the decision aims to reduce the financial burden on the common people and provide relief during challenging times. He emphasized that, in line with government commitments, efforts are being made to ensure public relief amid regional tensions and global economic pressures affecting Pakistan’s economy.
He further stated that timely policy measures and financial discipline are being implemented, and both the federal and provincial governments are working together to prevent overcharging beyond the fixed rates. The Prime Minister expressed hope that global conditions will stabilize, ensuring steadier petroleum prices for domestic consumers.
