Heavy Rains and Hailstorms Expected Around Eid-ul-Fitr, Says Meteorological Department

ISLAMABAD — The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall and possible hailstorms across parts of the country before and during the holidays of Eid al-Fitr.
According to the department, a new weather system is expected to enter the upper regions of Pakistan within the next two days. The system is likely to bring rain first to the northern and upper areas, after which the weather activity may spread to other parts of the country.
The forecast indicates that heavy showers accompanied by strong winds and hailstorms may occur at several locations. Meteorologists say the rainfall is expected to cause a noticeable drop in temperatures.
Weather experts have advised citizens to take precautionary measures during the period of unstable weather, especially those traveling to mountainous regions, where sudden weather changes could pose risks.
