Notification of Barshore District Handover Given to Elected Representatives and Tribal Leaders, Says Balochistan CM

QUETTA — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti met with a delegation of tribal elders and leaders from Barshore, led by Parliamentary Secretary Asfandyar Kakak, and handed over the official notification of the creation of Barshore District to the area’s elected provincial assembly member and tribal elders.

The representative delegation expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for granting Barshore district status. Mir Sarfaraz Bugti stated that the establishment of new administrative divisions and districts in Balochistan has been done keeping public convenience in mind. This move will facilitate easier access to basic government services for residents of remote areas.

He added that administrative officers are being immediately appointed to the new districts, and construction of prefabricated offices and government residences has begun in districts lacking infrastructure. Strengthening remote areas administratively remains the government’s top priority.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the creation of new districts will improve monitoring and implementation of development projects, reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to access government offices, and provide equal opportunities for development across all regions of the province. The initiative is also expected to generate local employment and economic growth at the grassroots level.
