Governor House’s ‘Umeed Ramzan Dastarkhwan’ Concludes as Kamran Tessori Departs for Umrah

KARACHI — The well-known “Umeed Ramzan Dastarkhwan” at Governor House Karachi has been discontinued following the departure of Kamran Khan Tessori from the office of Governor of Sindh.

According to sources, the digital stage installed for the Ramadan initiative has also been dismantled, while the tables and other arrangements used to serve iftar meals to citizens have been removed.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the “Umeed Ramzan Dastarkhwan” attracted large numbers of residents of Karachi every evening who gathered at the Governor House to break their fast.

Meanwhile, former Sindh governor Kamran Khan Tessori is departing on Friday to perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia. His family is already present there for the pilgrimage.

Before his departure, staff at the Governor House met Tessori to bid farewell and expressed their best wishes for his journey.
