Quetta Police Arrest 116 Suspects, Recover Stolen Goods Worth Millions; 200 Additional Officers Deployed for Ramadan Security

Quetta: Under the guidance of IG Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir, and supervision of DIG Quetta Imran Shaukat and SSP Operations Muhammad Asif Khan, Quetta Police have achieved significant successes in their ongoing campaign against criminals over the past three months.
Authorities reported the recovery of 4 vehicles, 56 motorcycles, and 14 mobile phones, and the arrest of 116 suspects. During crackdowns against motorcycle-snatching gangs, 5 police personnel were injured, while 2 suspects were killed and 29 others injured in return firing.
For Ramadan security, a special plan has been implemented. 116 additional officers have been deployed at mosques and congregational prayer sites, while 200 more personnel, including traffic police and mobile squads, are stationed in crowded markets and shopping centers to ensure public safety.
The police spokesperson urged citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police helpline 15 or control room numbers. Increased patrolling in sensitive areas and monitoring via CCTV cameras aim to provide residents a safe environment for prayers and shopping during the holy month.
