China Urges U.S. and Israel to Halt Military Actions to Reduce Middle East Tensions

Islamabad: China has called on the United States and Israel to stop military operations in order to ease tensions in the Middle East, emphasizing that it does not support attacks on Gulf countries.
During a phone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, China’s Foreign Minister condemned attacks on civilian facilities and innocent citizens. The leaders also discussed recent border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China’s special envoy is actively working to facilitate communication and reconciliation between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The ministry stressed that preventing further deterioration of the situation and returning to negotiations as soon as possible is of immediate importance.
