National Party Condemns Fuel Price Hike, Calls School Closures a Threat to Children’s Future

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – The central spokesperson of the National Party has strongly rejected the recent sharp increase in petroleum product prices, calling it a “bomb of inflation” on the public amid rising regional tensions, war-like conditions, and uncertainty.
In a statement, the spokesperson said that while citizens are already struggling with economic pressure, unemployment, and soaring prices, the government’s decision to increase fuel costs is equivalent to pouring salt on their wounds. He criticized the simultaneous closure of educational institutions, warning that this jeopardizes children’s future and blocks the path for the nation’s upcoming generations.
The spokesperson further explained that the impact of fuel price hikes goes beyond petrol, affecting the entire economic system, with transport, food, and essential commodities becoming more expensive, placing a direct burden on ordinary citizens.
He also highlighted the government’s lack of public trust and failure to address citizens’ problems, stating that current rulers are deepening the economic crisis instead of providing relief.
The National Party vowed to raise its voice against these anti-people policies through all democratic and constitutional forums and demanded that the government immediately reverse the petroleum price hike to provide relief to citizens struggling under the burden of inflation.
