High Terror Threat in Balochistan: Security Alert Issued for Five Key Political Leaders

Quetta, Daily Qudrat – The Balochistan Home Department has issued a high-level threat alert, directing all commissioners, DIGs, police, and Frontier Corps to tighten security for members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, with particular focus on five key political leaders.

According to the notice, intelligence reports indicate a credible threat from terrorist elements targeting assembly members. The leaders specifically named in the alert include Opposition Leader Mir Younus Zehri, Asghar Khan Tarin, Zubid Rehki, Maulana Abdul Wase, and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri.

District administrations and police officials have been instructed to conduct immediate security audits of the residences and offices of the mentioned leaders, provide appropriate security personnel according to the threat level, and enhance surveillance, patrolling, and intelligence coordination in relevant areas.

Additionally, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Special Branch have been asked to maintain close coordination to ensure prompt action against any suspicious movement. The Home Department has classified the matter as “extremely important and urgent” and directed all relevant officers to report progress regularly.
