Opponents Trying to Controversialize Elections Out of Panic, Says BAP Kalat Spokesperson

Kalat: A spokesperson for the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Kalat has said that some opposing candidates, out of panic, are attempting to make the upcoming elections controversial. However, he added that BAP will remain firmly in the field with the support of the public and will not allow anyone to evade the democratic process.
In a statement issued here, the spokesperson said that the popularity and public support of BAP are steadily increasing in various areas of Kalat Khaliqabad, particularly Johān, Narmak, and Gazg, which have now become strongholds of the party. He stated that seeing this growing support, opponents have become restless and, fearing defeat, some elements are spreading baseless propaganda through the media to mislead the public and raise questions about the conduct of the elections.
The spokesperson said that creating unnecessary noise before the elections, leveling baseless allegations, and issuing controversial statements to create an escape route is a clear sign of anticipated defeat. Instead of competing politically, attempts to make the elections controversial are against democratic values.
He further said that in the past as well, opponents had used tactics such as election boycotts and fabricated statements after realizing their certain defeat. However, this time the politically aware people of the constituency will not allow them to do so.
According to the spokesperson, the people will prove on March 10 through the power of their vote that they believe in politics of development, stability, and public service. He added that PB-36 candidate and former Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove enjoys strong public support and, God willing, will win the election with a heavy majority and once again reach the assembly to serve the people.
