Maryam Nawaz Delivers Results Instead of Just Inauguration Plaques, Says Uzma Bukhari

Lahore: Uzma Bukhari, the Information Minister of Punjab, said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz believes in delivering results rather than merely placing inauguration plaques on projects.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore alongside Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, Bukhari said that the government is actively working to provide relief and facilities to the people of the province.

She noted that Sahulat Bazaars are providing relief to citizens and that more than 70% of ration cards have already been used at these markets.

Bukhari added that the provincial government plans to lay 2,265 kilometers of sewerage lines across Punjab to improve sanitation infrastructure. She also said work has begun on establishing 130 new disposal stations in the province.

In addition, underground water storage tanks are being constructed to collect rainwater, while 328 wastewater treatment plants will also be set up. The government also plans to clean ponds and water reservoirs in rural areas and install wastewater treatment facilities there.
