Karachi Man Robbed in Hyderabad After Arriving for Marriage; Bride and Accomplices Flee with Cash and Clothes

Hyderabad: A shocking fraud incident has surfaced in Hyderabad where a young man from Karachi was allegedly deceived in the name of marriage and robbed of cash and valuables.

According to police, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the GOR Police Station in Jamali Para Katchi Abadi. The victim, Muhammad Usman, son of Ramzan Rajput and a resident of Sector 13 Nawab Colony in Baldia Town, Karachi, told police that his mother had been searching for a marriage proposal for him.

He said a woman identified as Rani, wife of Abbas Chandio, contacted the family and invited them to Hyderabad, where she arranged his marriage with a girl named Nida.

On the scheduled date, Muhammad Usman arrived in Hyderabad along with his parents and brothers, and preparations for the Nikah ceremony began at Rani’s house.

The victim stated that after he mentioned his financial difficulties, the girl’s alleged parents demanded Rs250,000 in cash to arrange wedding necessities, which the family paid. In addition, new clothes worth Rs200,000 were reportedly provided for the bride.

However, after receiving the money and clothes, the girl and her accomplices suddenly disappeared from the house. When the affected family made inquiries in the area, they allegedly learned that the girl and her associates were part of a fraudulent gang that deceives people under the pretext of marriage.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of Muhammad Usman and arrested three women involved in the incident. Raids are ongoing to arrest five more suspects linked to the alleged fraud network.
