Sher Afzal Marwat Questions PTI Workers on Silence Over Imran Khan’s Release

**Islamabad:** Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has urged PTI workers to reflect on the current silence on social media regarding the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other political prisoners.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, Marwat questioned why the same platforms that were once filled with constant calls for “release or death” and revolutionary slogans are now unusually quiet. He asked about the whereabouts of the protest containers, the previously mobilized “Imran Release Force,” and the daily energy that was portrayed as the prelude to revolution.

Marwat reminded PTI workers that social media previously criticized leaders like Ali Amin for not risking everything to secure Khan’s release. He asked why that standard seems absent for the remaining leadership now and whether any serious and organized action has been seen in the past five months to justify the movement’s claims of struggle and courage.

He emphasized the important role of PTI’s social media team, warning that inconsistent messaging—alternating between silence and temporary slogans—can blur the line between perception and reality for party workers. He also highlighted the approaching summer heat after Eid, cautioning that extreme temperatures could naturally slow any protest movement if no clear strategy is presented beforehand.

Marwat concluded by stressing that movements survive not on slogans but on consistency, courage, and truth. He called on PTI workers to stay vigilant, avoid blind loyalty, hold leadership accountable, and remain committed to the purpose for which the movement was created.
