Sahibzada Farhan Nears Top Spot in ICC T20I Rankings After Stellar World Cup Performance

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** Sahibzada Farhan has climbed to second place in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings following his outstanding performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. He is now closing in on India’s Abhishek Sharma, who currently holds the top position.

Farhan made history by becoming the first player to score two centuries in a single T20 World Cup. His remarkable 100-run knock off 60 balls against Sri Lanka proved decisive in Pakistan’s victory.

With a total of 383 runs in the tournament, Farhan surpassed England’s Phil Salt and now trails Sharma by just 26 rating points.

In other batting rankings movements, India’s Ishan Kishan has moved to fourth place, while Tilak Varma occupies sixth. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has risen to eighth position, and Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett climbed six spots to 11th after scoring 292 runs.

South Africa’s Ryan Rickelton and Aiden Markram have advanced to 13th and 16th positions, respectively.

In the bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy remains at the top with 12 wickets, although his lead has narrowed to just 18 points as Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed climbs to third place.

Among all-rounders, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza continues to lead the rankings, with India’s Hardik Pandya moving up to second. West Indies’ Jason Holder also made significant progress, rising eight spots to 11th after strong performances with both bat and ball.
