Two Citizens Killed in Quetta Amid Rising Crime; Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Protests

**Quetta:** The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) has strongly condemned the killings of **Qudratullah Achakzai** and **Safdar Yousafzai** in separate incidents of firing and robbery in Quetta, calling the attacks a grim reflection of the city’s deteriorating law and order situation.
According to the party statement, Qudratullah Achakzai was shot dead by armed assailants at a shop on Mashriqi Bypass near Kani Gali. Despite an FIR being registered at Manzoor Shaheen Police Station, the killers have yet to be apprehended. Similarly, in Nawa Kali, Zarghunabad Phase One, armed robbers fatally shot tailor Safdar Yousafzai, highlighting the persistent insecurity in the city.
PMAP criticized the police for focusing on checkpoints, street checks, and verification of citizens’ documents, while criminal elements continue to commit violent crimes with impunity. The party urged **IG Police Balochistan** to immediately arrest those responsible for the murders and ensure justice for the families of the victims, while taking practical measures to restore law and order in Quetta.
The statement also noted that despite dozens of FIRs being registered, criminals remain free, reflecting police failures. PMAP expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for patience and solace for the bereaved. The party warned that if a crackdown against criminal gangs is not undertaken, public protests would be organized to demand protection of lives and property.
